This tunnel over Still Valley Road in Pohatcong is currently being preserved by the town. When I was first here a month ago, the roadbed above the tunnel had been removed, and the top of the tunnel was being waterproofed. Next, the town will cosmetically restore the tunnel. The tunnel was constructed in 1911, while the tunnel liner was apparently built in 1895. |
